I really liked how the author weaves her own life experiences with behavioural science theory. It makes the advice feel relatable and grounded, not just academic. I also appreciated how openly she shares her mistakes and setbacks along the way – it made the book feel honest and encouraging.I’ve read a few behavioural science books, and this one stands out for its focus on career change. It’s practical without being preachy, and offers tools to help you rethink your next steps thoughtfully.I even gifted a copy to a young person I mentor who is questioning her career path. She loved it and found it hugely inspiring. A great read for anyone at a crossroads. My own copy is well thumbed, as you can see from the video, with lots of sections highlighted and bookmarked so I can revisit the insights again!

This is an excellent book that draws on insights from scientific evidence on human behaviours and applies it to career management. An easy-to-read book with lots of actionable insights that can be implemented in our everyday life. I strongly recommend this book for anyone who provides career advice to others such as career advisors, Human Resources professionals, and professional coaches. It will also be a fantastic book for someone that is interested in taking small steps in building their future.

Veramente un ottimo libro ben scritto e denso di consigli pratici. Spero ci possa essere presto anche una versione in italiano per poterla regalare agli amici.

Offers great insight to moving towards a daily life you enjoy instead of a job title or just a salary range.

One of the best, if not the best, book I’ve read on the subject of goal setting and achievement. – This book is a real gem of inspiration and guidance that arrived in my life at exactly the right time.I thought this book was superb, but more importantly, after about ten minutes I felt it was already changing my behaviour! After reading it just once, I feel so much more positive about being on track to achieve all I want in the near future.Lordan lays out her methods and thoughts very gently, with lots of good examples from real life, and a practical toolkit for achieving what you want in small steps that lead to incredible results. Everything is intelligently researched and well explained.I found it readable, funny, thoughtful, insightful, INCREDIBLY useful and, very very rare for a book, genuinely life-changing.I’m reading this book over several times to make sure that I have a full understanding of the proposed actions and to make sure that I actually make them a positive ‘habit’.If you’re like me and seriously pursuing your best future, buy this book and build a better life!
