On Thursday, Samsung announced a partnership with One97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, to streamline ticket booking. This collaboration allows Samsung Wallet to offer ticket booking services for flights, movies, events, and more through Paytm. Samsung Galaxy smartphone users can now also add tickets purchased outside the platform to the Wallet app.

Samsung Wallet-Paytm Partnership

In a blog post, Samsung detailed the integration of Paytm services into the Samsung Wallet app. Users can now purchase tickets for flights, movies, shows, and events directly through Samsung Wallet. A new “Add to Samsung Wallet” button enables users to add existing tickets to the app.

These services are available to Samsung Galaxy smartphone users through an updated Wallet app. Flight and movie tickets can be booked via Paytm, while event and show tickets are available through the Paytm Insider app. Additionally, Samsung plans to offer discounts of up to Rs. 1,150 on first-time bookings using these new services.

Beyond the Paytm partnership, Samsung Wallet will launch a new Referral Programme. Users can earn a Rs. 100 gift card for each successful referral registration, capped at Rs. 300. Moreover, a Samsung Wallet tap-and-pay offer is forthcoming, where users will receive an Amazon gift card worth Rs. 250 after completing four tap-and-pay transactions.
